ANDREW KUSHNIR – Playwright

Andrew is Creative Director at Project: Humanity and The Middle Place is his first play for the company.  As an actor, he has worked for companies that include the Citadel, The Globe, Studio 180, Canadian Stage, LKTYP, Buddies in Bad Times, Theatre Calgary, Vancouver Playhouse, Shaw Festival, and the Colorado Shakespeare Festival.  Since its beginnings in 2006, he has played Victor in Catalyst Theatre’s adaptation of Frankenstein.  He is a member of the 2010 Tarragon Theatre Playwrights Unit and is in residency at the Theatre Centre developing a new verbatim piece with Alan Dilworth.  He is a graduate of the University of Alberta’s BFA (Acting) program and the recipient of the 2007 Stage West Equity Emerging Theatre Artist Award.
